We have a vacancy for an energetic individual with strong warehouse and people management skills. The Warehouse Manager should have a positive and confident attitude to deal with a diverse team. The incumbent should possess exceptional inventory management skills to ensure accurate picking, storage, receiving, and disposal of IT Assets.

The incumbent will be reporting directly to the CEO and actively liaise with other functional departments within the company.


     1. Warehouse management and people management
          Human resources:

  • Effectively manage the warehouse team to ensure the effective functioning by delegating daily tasks to the warehouse staff.
  • Effectively manage and monitor warehouse resources to ensure collections and reporting meets client SLAs.
  • Collect weekly measurements from the team leaders, analyse them and report to CEO weekly.
  • Effectively train warehouse staff on all warehouse procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Guide and mentor warehouse team and ensure good conduct is adhered to as per company code of good conduct.
  • Initiate disciplinary action where policy and procedures are being violated.
  • Encourage subordinates to develop new and relevant skills required to enhance job performance.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and measure progress against set objectives and take corrective measures where necessary.

         Warehouse security:

  • Oversee the team leader tasked with the security responsibility to ensure the task is carried out diligently and warehouse security is not compromised.
  • Make safeguarding changes to the role as and when security risks are identified.
  • Inform the CEO immediately of any security concerns and changes in the security function.

         Plant maintenance and safety:

  • Oversee the team leader tasked with plant maintenance and safety responsibility to ensure the task is carried out diligently not compromised.
  • Make changes that are necessary regarding plant maintenance and safety in the warehouse.
  • Inform the CEO immediately of any plant maintenance and safety concerns and any necessary changes to the task.

         Inventory and stock management:

  • Oversee the team leader tasked with the inventory and stock management responsibility to ensure stock inventory is effectively managed.
  • Make necessary changes regarding Inventory and Stock Management.
  • Inform the CEO immediately of any inventory and stock management concerns and any necessary changes to the task.

         eWaste disposal:

  • Oversee the team leader tasked with eWaste disposal responsibility to ensure the task carried out effectively.
  • Make necessary changes regarding eWaste disposal.
  • Inform the CEO immediately of any eWaste disposal concerns and any necessary changes to the task.

        Data destruction:

  • Oversee the team leader tasked with the Data destruction responsibility to ensure the task is carried out effectively and in compliance with the regulatory standards.
  • Make necessary changes regarding Data destruction.
  • Inform the CEO immediately of any Data destruction concerns any necessary changes to the task.

     2. Goods receiving and ewaste disposal

  • Manage and delegate to warehouse team leaders the task of verifying all data bearing devices on the waybill against the matrix and on the waybill against the Disposal Report and ensure accurate data is captured.

     3. Safety, health, environment and quality management system (SHEQMS)

  • Develop, maintain, implement, revise and recommend departmental policies and procedures.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures within department.
  • Resolve all Non-conformances, deviations or challenges using the Ariscu system.
  • Record all safety issues on the Ariscu system.
  • Carry out duties as an appointed SHE Supervisor and Stacking Supervisor within designated departments and adhere to the SHEQ policy and relevant departmental policies.


     4. Stock control/inventory

  • Manage stock control quarterly, and file stock count forms with Financial Assistant.
  • Manage the Daily cycle counts for laptops, desktops, components and submit stock adjustments to Financial Assistant.
  • Manage stock returns from suppliers.
  • Manage the returns to suppliers to ensure they are within warranty period and that suppliers’ delivery notes are filed.


     5. General communication

  • Actively keep other departments and subordinates informed of significant changes and challenges within the warehouse in order to allow a corrective action to take place without affecting stakeholder’s turnaround times.
  • Effectively manage the team leaders and communicate regularly to ensure all members of your department are up to date.


  • Five years’ proven experience as a Warehouse Manager
  • Three years’ proven experience in a supervisory role/people management
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Three years’ proven experience as a SHE Supervisor and Stacking Supervisor


  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or similar
  • Stacking and Storing Qualification
  • Inventory Management Qualification
  • SHE Supervisor Qualification


  • Computer Proficient (Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
