At least 360 pupils have been displaced after a devastating flood wreaked havoc in Nelson Mandela Bay at the weekend, completely destroying a school in Kariega.
Although Nasruddin Islamic School’s outer structure still stands, the inside was damaged when a nearby river overflowed and crashed through it.
Seven people have died, one is still missing, and hundreds of others have been evacuated since disruptive rain started falling in Nelson Mandela Bay on Saturday.
